Made in the late 1930's,"Conquest of the Air" is an epic portrait of the early years of aviation. Featuring rare footage of balloons, zeppelins and then a host of heavier-than-air machines, the film traces some of the achievements of the Golden Era of Flight.

Also included on this DVD, which includes over 150 minutes of entertainment, is Wings of the Army, a film that shows the ever-increasing role played by airpower in the era leading up to, during and after World War I.

The DVD also features rare newsreels of 1920's and 30's National Air Races, and the comedic short Air Maniacs featuring legendary stunt pilot Frank Clarke.

Please note, due to the age and rarity of the films on this DVD, picture and audio quality may vary. Black and white films.
